COMPSTAT 2010

COMPSTAT 2010 a lieu pour la première fois à

Paris du 22 au 27 aout 2010

C'est l'occasion de faire connaitre vos travaux à une large audience internationale : plus de 500 participants sont attendus.

La date limite de soumission des communications libres est le 10 janvier 2010.

A noter également : 3 prix de 500 euros chacun seront attribués aux meilleures communications dont tous les auteurs auront moins de 35 ans au 31 aout 2010.

1st Cladag Young Researcher Data Mining Prize

On the occasion of CLADAG 2009 hosted in Catania, it is announced the first edition of “CLADAG Young Researcher Data Mining Prize” sponsored by SAS Institute, see http://cladag2009.unict.it/DataMiningPrize.aspx.

Shootout goal will be an analytical solution of a real case study.

The Competition aim is to promote transfer of novel scientific knowledge of the young researchers to the operative world of the data mining users.

This Competition asks for a solution development of a real data mining problem from groups composed at most of 3 young researchers.

CLADAG Young Researcher Data Mining Prize will consist in 2 prizes : 1) 4000 euro for the absolute best solution 2) 1500 euro for the best solution in terms or re-applicability

The grants will be paid as funds to those administrations winners belong to or, if the winners prefer, they will be paid directly, in this case all taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winners Further details at http://cladag2009.unict.it/PrizeAnnouncement.pdf.

Compstat 2010

The 19th COMPSTAT symposium will take place in Paris, France, on August 22nd-27th 2010.

The conference, sponsored by the European Regional Section of the IASC, is locally organized by the CNAM (Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers) with the support of INRIA, the french National Institute for research in computer science and control.

Statistical computing establishes link between statistical theory and applied statistics. As for previous COMPSTAT conferences, the scientific programme will cover all aspects underlying that link : from the development and implementation of new statistical ideas to user experiences and software evaluation. The programme should appeal to anyone working in statistics and using computers, whether in universities, industrial companies, government agencies, research institutes, as well as software developers.
